2nd Grade Color Wheel Hot Air Balloons
Color Wheels in Second grade. After studying the primary and secondary colors, we created these bright "hot air" balloons and students drew a portrait of themselves to sit in their balloon baskets.
2nd Grade Autumn Trees
Sometimes all you need are lines, shapes, and color to make a picture really pop! These fall trees are simple but deal with a lot of elements of art for second graders. They decorated our halls perfectly for the Fall.

How to Make Scratch Art Paper!
Making special scratch art paper is easy. You only need a few ingredients and tools. Central Park 2nd through 4th graders made their own scratch art paper using the following materials:- Paper
- Oil Pastels
- Black tempera paint
- Liquid Dish Soap
After the paint dried, they used wooden sticks to scratch an image. There are a lot of household items you can use to scratch an image on this paper: toothpick, fork, skewer, paper clip, etc.
